Last year, I tried to start myself on the 101 things goal list, but ended up not doing it for various reasons that sound an awful lot like excuses. This time, however, I’m doing it for real. I’m going to mark every one of my goals off, and if I don’t, I’m going to add them to the next list, and so on and so forth. Also, to make things more interesting, I will put 2 dollars into a jar or savings account for every goal that I achieve, to be spent on whatever I want at the end of the term. For each goal that I do not achieve, I will donate 2 dollars to a charity of my choosing. The list is, in its current state, in need of some organization, but that will come later on down the line. Tomorrow, perhaps.
Ready? Here goes!
From Triplux.Com
The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.
The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).
Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past – frequently simple goals such as New Year’s resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.
